Take Action: Tell Wyoming to Pause Wolf Hunting and Protect Wolf Recovery
Wyoming's wolves are facing a storm of threats. 🐺
Disease outbreaks, low pup survival, hunting, trapping, and other human-caused mortality are putting increasing pressure on wolf populations across the state. Recent reports indicate that wolf numbers in Wyoming's Trophy Game Management Area have already fallen below management objectives, raising concerns about long-term recovery and pack stability.
Despite these challenges, wolf hunting could continue.
Conservation organizations and wildlife advocates are urging the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to pause wolf hunting for at least two years while scientists assess disease impacts, pup survival, breeding pair stability, and overall population health.
Wildlife management should be guided by science, transparency, and precaution—not by how close wolves can get to the minimum number required for survival.
