California DSA has endorsed the Billionaire Tax Act and the California Children's Education and Health Care Protection Act. These measures are meant to tax the rich in order to fund public goods like healthcare, education, and the social safety net. We call our campaign to pass both measures “The Fair and Responsible Tax Plan for California’s Wealthy”. In accordance with this endorsement, California DSA has formed a working group to produce communications and campaign materials, host a webinar series in coordination with labor partners, and support chapter-based campaigns. The working group meets regularly via zoom across the state in order to build the campaign and the militant mass movement needed to fight back against Trump's war on working people.
