Car Drivers are more likely to Share a Taxi

Increases the availability of taxis on the road

At busy taxi ranks, have hand-held flags or A4 posters labelled “Taxi Share - LS1”, “Taxi Share - LS2”, etc.

Passengers at the front of the queue take a flag or A4 poster from the holder and hold up the flag/poster indicating their destination so that people in the queue know that they can share the taxi and save time and money.

Each passenger pays an equal fraction of the estimated fare to the driver. Any slight inaccuracy in sharing the fare equally is overlooked by passengers because everyone gains anyway.

Five people sharing pay £2, not £10 each!

Creative imagination and cooperation can resolve all our problems on this planet
