Join the Victoria Labour Council's Women & Gender Rights Committee and walk around Elk Lake in honour of the families of MMIWG2S, on Sunday May 31, 2026 at 11:00 am as part of the Tears to Hope Relay in Northern BC.

We have funding for 10 spaces. The VLC WGRC will make a donation for the first 10 participants who register with us.

Where: Elk Lake 10km loop

Meet at the Main Beaver Lake parking lot and look for the VLC Flag. All participants will be contacted prior to the event to confirm.

The terrain is mostly a dirt or gravel path that is easy to follow and well-maintained with minimal inclines along the way. There are beautiful views of the lake, with plenty of toilets and rest areas too. Bring snacks and water. The intention is to walk together but participants are free to walk or run at their own pace.
