Believe it or not, some of America's top Fortune 500 companies played a role in getting the Texas anti-abortion law (Senate Bill 8) passed by backing some of the bill's biggest supporters. At the top of the list, AT&T stands shamefully as the largest donor, giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to state politicians who sponsored and voted for the new anti-abortion law.  

The law, which came into effect on September 1st, when the Supreme Court failed to take action, bans abortion starting at six weeks – before most people even know they’re pregnant.

In the history books, when we read about Senate Bill 8, it won't just be the radical Texas Republican politicians who are deemed responsible for this draconian anti-woman law; it will also be companies like AT&T.
