Tell Disney’s biggest stars to stand up for freedom of speech and demand ABC reinstate Jimmy Kimmel now.

Jimmy Kimmel was suspended indefinitely for comments he made after sharing a clip of Trump’s reaction to the death of Charlie Kirk. His comments were blunt. He was provocative. And it was exactly the kind of commentary late-night satire exists to deliver.

But ABC didn’t stand by him. They folded. The show was pulled after political pressure from FCC Chair Brendan Carr and attacks by the MAGA media machine.

This isn’t the first time MAGA has successfully silenced critics for their free speech.

CBS settled a lawsuit with Trump and canceled Stephen Colbert soon after. Executives at Paramount and Disney are caving to Trump’s intimidation tactics with multimillion dollar settlements. They’re allowing his political allies to dictate who gets to speak and who doesn’t.

That’s why we’re calling on the stars who power Disney’s success to speak out now. Marvel and Star Wars superstars like Robert Downey Jr., Letitia Wright, Pedro Pascal, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland and others are global influencers with the power to force change.

The stars of ABC’s most popular TV shows, like The View’s Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Ana Navarro, The Rookie’s Nathan Fillion, and Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson must stand up too.

Comedy matters. Satire matters. The ability to criticize powerful figures matters. Jimmy Kimmel’s removal sends a dangerous message that comedians who challenge the far right will be punished.

If Disney’s biggest stars speak out they will have an impact.

Tell Disney’s biggest stars to defend satire, reject censorship and demand action to reinstate Jimmy Kimmel now.
