The Special Election for Senate in Georgia, for the seat currently held by Kelly Loeffler, could decide which party controls the U.S. Senate.

The field currently consists of multiple candidates with the top two finishers in November likely to advance to a runoff in January, regardless of party.

Right now, Reverend Raphael Warnock (Senior Pastor of the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, endorsed by Stacey Abrams) is the top Democratic candidate in polls. But Joe Lieberman's son Matt Lieberman is playing the role of spoiler.

If Lieberman stays in the race as a Democrat, it could lead to two Republican candidates making the runoff and to Democrats losing a winnable seat at a time we need to win every Senate seat we can.
