On July 13, Joan Sebastian Guerrero was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Biddeford, Maine. He was a young working dad driving his car in the morning when he was gunned down on the street in front of his family. This has to stop.

This is a pattern. Across America, unmarked cars are chasing down people like Joan, parents who are connected to their communities, families, and workplaces. No one—regardless of who they are, where they come from, or their immigration status—deserves to be killed. We shouldn’t even have to say that, but this fascist regime has made it so we are no longer safe in our communities.

As a senior Senator, Susan Collins has the power to do something and it’s beyond time she uses it. Collins must take immediate action to ensure that ICE no longer has the means or power to continue its operations.
