Tell Toyota CEO: We support workers’ right to unionize

Toyota is one of the largest nonunion automakers in America, and workers at its Georgetown, Kentucky plant -- the largest Toyota plant in the U.S. -- are organizing to form a union.

For decades, the Georgetown, Kentucky plant transformed the lives of thousands of Kentuckians. One Toyota worker we spoke with, who started at Toyota in 1994, was able to buy a home, save for retirement, and put his kids through college on his Toyota salary. That’s no longer the case today.

Greg Williams, a newer Toyota employee told us:

"It’s been three and a half years of building cars and manual labor, and I can’t afford a home yet. And I totaled a car last week, and I can’t afford to replace it. And I build cars for a living.”

But now, thanks to last year’s historic autoworker victories at Ford, GM, and Stellantis, Toyota workers have new momentum in their fight to unionize.
