Texas Grassroots Alliance Statewide Blockwalk
The Texas Grassroots Alliance has organized a statewide voter registration block walk.
Note that strict COVID prevention protocols (see below) are recommended for all events.
This block walk event will focus on engaging directly with voters to:
1. Register to vote
2. Fight voter suppression
3. Work for better Texas leadership
We must fight back when Republicans try to pass bills that restrict our rights as Texans. We will not sit back as they threaten our voting rights. We will not sit back as they threaten the rights of Blacks, Latinos, women, asylum seekers and more.
We call on grassroots organizations across the state of Texas to host a block walk on August 7, 2021. We encourage targeting high-density Democratic precincts and organizing shifts at 10am and/or 4pm.
Please join us! Support the effort and engage Texas communities. SIGN UP TODAY!!
We will email additional details and provide an informational call to all that sign up.
Texas Grassroots Alliance COVID Prevention Protocol for Block Walks
August 7, 2021
COVID cases are on the rise, with the more easily transmissible Delta variant predominant in our
communities. We encourage all to be especially cautious and meticulous in following strict protocols for safety.
1. All who participate in in-person events must be fully vaccinated. It is recommended that participants bring their COVID immunization record, or a picture of it on their phone.
2. During all events, masks are required to be worn at all times except when eating or drinking. This includes fully vaccinated individuals and both indoor and outdoor events.
3. Social distancing of at least 6 feet between you and anyone from outside your household is essential, including out doors.
4. All events will take place outside.
5. Individuals who are at high risk (e.g., immunocompromised), feel sick, have been exposed to COVID, or who have not been vaccinated should join events online only.
