Thank the legislature for passing YIMBY bills, and urge Governor Newsom to sign them
We’re on the cusp of making some real change in our own backyards, but we need your help to make affordable housing a statewide reality. The state legislature just passed a number of bills that will bring us one step closer to ending the housing shortage here in California. But all of these YIMBY bills are now sitting on Governor Newsom's desk waiting to be signed into law. Add your name:
The California housing crisis is driving people out of their homes and out of our state. The scale of the problem is so large we must take concrete and immediate action to reduce the housing shortage.
We, the undersigned, want to commend the California state legislature for passing a number of YIMBY bills that will bring us one step closer to ending the housing crisis.
AB 1482, which protects 8 million CA renters
SB 330, the Housing Crisis Act of 2019
AB 68 and AB 881, which could lead to tens of thousands of new homes across the state each year (including in exclusive, single-family areas governed by homeowners’ associations).
We urge the governor to sign them into law.
