Were you fooled by one of these paid anti net neutrality tweets?

Recently, lawmakers on Capitol Hill started getting flooded with mysterious tweets using the hashtags #netneutlawnow and #No2CRA. We investigated these tweets and discovered that they are part of paid advertising campaigns associated with “think tanks” that receive significant funding from telecom companies like AT&T, Comcast, and Verizon. The tweets claim to be in support of net neutrality, but are opposed to the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution -- supported by the entire net neutrality movement -- that would restore the FCC’s open Internet rules that were repealed on December 14.

If you were targeted by this “astroturf” campaign and feel you were misled into tweeting something you don’t agree with, please fill out the form on the right. We’re gathering information to help expose these deceptive campaigns.
