Volunteer for Jail Support

In 2020, after the country erupted in protest, St. Louis took the streets to protest the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and the many others killed by police and other forms of state-sanctioned violence. In support of the protests and to ensure the safety of those putting their bodies on the line for our collective liberation, Action St. Louis launched the STL Freedom Fund.
Action STL was founded by activists and organizers who were politicized during the Ferguson Uprising. We understand very intimately the risk of this moment as people are standing against racism, bigotry and other forms of discrimination while calling for transformation by demanding that police be defunded and resources be invested into our communities. We are in the streets, we have demands and we will continue to organize. Part of that organizing must be to ensure that protesters have the support they need including resources for bail and legal support after any arrests. This fund is being created for that purpose.
The STL Freedom Fund, a project of Action St. Louis, pays criminal bail and provides resources to support the legal defense of protesters in the Movement in St. Louis. We are seeking volunteers to help run a jail support line when protestors are arrested.
