Volunteer for our Art-Science Extravaganza!

SATURDAY 28th SEPTEMBER 2019, ALL DAY!

Join us for an extravaganza in collaboration with the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, with mass actions and talks taking local public awareness of the climate crisis to a new level.

Expect...

  • Young people in costume representing endangered species

  • A huge multimedia performance action led by musicians and dancers, about ecological breakdown caused by the palm oil industry

  • Ecological scientists engaging with the public on biodiversity loss and extinction

  • ‘Heading for Extinction’ Talks throughout the day

  • Films and Art-Science Workshops

We are collaborating with the Museum for this event, so there is no arrest risk for this action. It will be very family-friendly. See the full programme here.

We need LOTS of lovely people (and their family and friends) to make this action as big and beautiful as possible!

We’re looking for people of all ages with experience of performing arts: dancers, acrobats, circus performers, mime artists. Experience isn’t mandatory though, everyone is welcome to sign up - for more that one activity. There'll also be volunteers needed for:

- Outreach and leafletting

- Supporting the youth performers

- Crafting and making pre- and during the event

You can apply for more that one performance role, as well as pre-event making.

So fill in our form (to the right) and one of the organisers will let you know how you can help!
