Trash Tag Challenge!
Community Cleanup: CDA & Post Falls
Sunday, April 30 | 11 AM - 1:30 PM
Starting Point: Treaty Rock, Post Falls
Take meaningful action in your community by helping clean up I-90, rest areas, and nearby parks for Spring at our 3rd Annual Trash Tag Challenge event!
Every year, trash accumulates during the winter months on our freeway banks and rest areas in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls and becomes glaringly visible to residents and visitors when the snow melts.
Together, we can make a big difference in keeping our community beautiful in just a few hours. Last year, 81 volunteers collectively filled 169 bags of trash!
We challenge the citizens of Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls to collectively fill 200 bags of trash at this year’s event! Sign-up is open to ALL. We hope everyone will walk away with a sense of accomplishment and commitment to building a sustainable community.
Meet us at the Treaty Rock Park picnic area in Post Falls no later than 11 AM. Volunteers will receive bags and safety vests before being dispatched to various locations.
Families and employee groups are encouraged to attend. Recommended for children 7+ with parental supervision. Adults with children will be dispatched to rest areas or nearby parks.
Sign-up is strongly encouraged so we can allocate resources and ensure Idaho Transportation Department liability requirements are met & provide communication.
Volunteers are required to wear closed toes shoes and long pants per IDT safety requirements.
If desired, feel free to bring a litter pick-up tool and gloves. CEA will have plastic gloves on site.
PARKING: Parking is limited at the park. Additional parking is on the street.
