2018 was the warmest year on record for oceans. Seabirds need us now more than ever to be a voice for them.

The good news: there are opportunities to get involved! We have volunteer opportunities for people who want to play a bigger role in planning for the DC Grassroots Fly In.

Volunteer roles have been grouped into committees:

Logistics Committee: Primary duties include day-of setting up equipment, staffing the resource table, registering people, and being a visible resource guide to participants.

Campaigns Committee: Duties include assisting State Leads, conducting outreach, and recruiting new volunteers. (Note: this committee will have training included with the Campaigns team, and is a great opportunity if you want to build your organizing skills!)

Social Media Committee: Duties include taking pictures, video, and posting on social media. (Note: this committee will have training included with Preeti Desai, Director of Social Media! This is a great opportunity if you want to build your social media skills.)

Art Committee: Duties include making posters, puppets, or other creations to represent your state at the fly in!
