Volunteer with Faith & Works "ROAD TO BLACK NOVEMBER"

Your Voice Matters in Jefferson County

The decisions made by the Jefferson County Commission affect our neighborhoods, roads, public services, economic development, environmental justice, and quality of life.

For decades, Black communities have worked for fair representation and a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect our lives. Faith & Works Collective is continuing that work by helping Jefferson County residents obtain accurate election information and participate fully in the democratic process.

We are recruiting volunteers to support our nonpartisan voter education and engagement program. Whether you can volunteer a few hours a month or several hours each week, there is a role for you.

What Volunteers May Do

Volunteers may participate in:

  • Door-to-door nonpartisan voter outreach
  • Phone banking and text banking
  • Community outreach events
  • Voter education
  • Voter registration and voter-restoration outreach
  • Nonpartisan Get Out the Vote activities
  • Sharing accurate voting locations, dates, deadlines, and requirements
  • Providing transportation to the polls
  • Election Day voter assistance
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Data entry and administrative support

Training will be provided, and no prior experience is required.

Our Community Engagement Goals

Together, we will work to:

  • Educate and engage more than 10,000 Jefferson County residents
  • Help eligible residents register and check their voter status
  • Provide accurate, reliable, and accessible election information
  • Help voters identify where and when they can vote
  • Reduce barriers to voting by providing transportation and other assistance
  • Strengthen informed civic participation beyond Election Day

Volunteer opportunities will begin immediately and continue through Election Day. Activities will be available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Volunteers may participate in a one-time activity or commit to ongoing shifts.

Join us in building a strong, informed, and engaged Jefferson County community where every eligible voter can make their voice heard.
