Members of Birmingham DSA want to know if you're interested in organizing a working group to spearhead the chapter's solidarity actions for the ongoing Free Alabama Movement (FAM) prison labor strike!

This yet-to-be working group might guide and inform how Birmingham DSA...

• Organizes once-a-month in-person actions at Alabama prisons in solidarity with striking prisoners fighting to change Alabama's carceral system,
• Builds power for incarcerated individuals and the broader working class around metro Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and all of Alabama,
• Organizes around issues important to incarcerated individuals in Alabama prisons, including abolitionist causes, and
• Relates to other abolitionist organizations with a presence in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Alabama.

But, first and foremost, it'll include anything you and other organizers would like to bring to the organizing table!
