Wanted Cannabis Ambassadors for the Capitol

Level Up Your Cannabis Advocacy.

The Florida Cannabis Action Network is offering advocates a unique experience. Leaders from communities around the state are stepping up to create Cannabis Ambassadors Weeks at the Capitol.

The "Legislative Season" in Tallahassee begins with Committee Weeks. During committee weeks, lawmakers debate bills, meet stakeholders, and draft policy. Most lawmakers know very little about Cannabis; they NEED to hear from us.

FLCAN and our team invite you and your friends to an experience designed with people in mind. Choose a committee week that meets your needs and interests. Not sure where to start? Join others from your area during our regional weeks. Your region week doesn't suit your schedule? Choose another week based on the highlighted topic.

It is time to take your place as a Cannabis Ambassador in your Community and with state lawmakers in Tallahassee.

At the Capitol, Cannabis Ambassadors will:

Influence Policy Directly
  • Speak during public comment periods to share personal stories or expert insights.
  • Meet with lawmakers to advocate for sensible, science-based cannabis reform.
  • Support or oppose bills like HB 1003 (2026), which proposed suspending a patient's medical card if found carrying legal medicine in the passenger space of your car.

Build Coalitions & Community

  • Unite with advocacy groups like FLCAN, NORML, or industry stakeholders like CLAB to present a unified front.
  • Network with professionals in healthcare, law, agriculture, and small business impacted by cannabis policy.
  • Coordinate grassroots efforts to educate the public and mobilize voters.
Stay Informed & Prepared
  • Learn about proposed restrictions, such as SB 438’s attempt to tighten rules on hemp-derived THC products (2025) .
  • Understand the legislative process, including how committees hear and amend bills before they reach the floor.
  • Track trends and opposition, especially in a politically charged environment where industry lobbying and party dynamics play a major role.

Represent the Unheard

  • Give voice to patients, veterans, and marginalized communities who rely on cannabis for relief.
  • Challenge misinformation and stigma through testimony and evidence-based advocacy.
  • Ensure equity and access are part of the conversation, especially as regulations evolve.
