132 LEADING ACADEMICS, WRITERS AND PUBLIC FIGURES RISK TERRORISM CHARGES WITH LETTER TO THE COURT OF APPEAL - ADD YOUR NAME, TOO **!

More than 130 leading scholars and public figures are risking arrest under the Terrorism Act after writing an open letter to the Court of Appeal concerning Palestine Action. Over 500 members of the public have signed the letter so far since its release.

The letter, dated 24th April 2026, simply reads: “We oppose genocide, we support Palestine Action.”

Sally Rooney, Greta Thunberg, and Judith Butler were among the first to put their names to the defiant declaration. They are joined by prominent artists and musicians such as Matt Black (Ninja Tune), the actor Billy Howle, Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja, Brian Eno and Nadine Shah, writers China Miéville, Lina Meruane and Tariq Ali, and political activists like Lindsey German (Stop the War) and Vijay Prashad (Tricontinental Institute).

Signatories also include professors and researchers from University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, London School of Economics, Durham University and many more UK-based and international scholars.
