We Won! Let's Keep Winning!

On Tuesday, May 18, Jamaica Miles was elected to the Schenectady City School Board. That would not have happened without the work of volunteers knocking on doors, making phone calls, giving rides, and talking to their family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. THANK YOU! THIS IS OUR WIN!!

Today is a new day, a day filled with hope and inspiration. We must celebrate and continue this momentum. There is still a lot of work to be done. A small number of dedicated volunteers helped bring us over the finish line. We need even more support to cross the next one and the next one after that. More than 1,400 people voted! 667 of them voted for Jamaica Miles. Those who showed up at the polls on Tuesday will also be needed to show up on other days and in other ways. Imagine what we could do if there were 667 volunteers in the City of Schenectady supporting the fight. Imagine what we could do if there were 667 volunteers in the Greater Capital Region supporting the fight.

Our schools deserve our commitment and dedication. Our communities deserve to be avenues of prosperity and hope. Our representatives need to be representative of the people they serve.

Choose where you will show up in the movement for change. Choose one or more ways to be a part of history in the making. We won on Tuesday, May 18th. Let's keep winning!
