With the midterms over, we have a new class of representatives ready to take office in January. Let's make sure electoral reform is on their minds and on their agenda.

At this point, you know that the root of many of the problems in our democracy lie in our winner-take-all election system with single-member districts that give Americans little choice and poor representation.

The Fair Representation Act, introduced in the US House a couple years ago by Don Beyer, would change that. It's the holy grail of electoral reform, and while it may be a while before we get the support to pass it, we need to start now.
