Join our mass call with laid off workers from Amazon and Washington Post Tech Guild (Feb. 22, 2026)

There were over 108,000 tech workers laid off in January. Major tech and media companies like the Washington Post and Pinterest are slashing jobs while engaging in aggressive union-busting tactics. Laidoff workers are bearing the brunt of the corporate restructuring and AI-driven automation, but we don't have to face it alone.

If you are currently unemployed or anxious about future layoffs in the tech sector — this call is for you. It’s time to build community, share resources, and organize for the policy changes we urgently need.

Speakers include representatives from:

We’ll talk about how to prepare for a layoff, with know-your rights guidance to help navigate severance and unemployment benefits.

We’ll also talk about campaigns on state and federal levels for expanded UI, public or employer-funded reskilling programs, portable benefits, a four-day work week, and worker voice in AI policy.

Let’s mobilize to fight for structural change!

What We Will
is a worker center organizing workers across sectors impacted by A.I. disruption for mutual aid, community building, skill sharing, and mobilizing for policy change.

Tech Workers Coalition is a coalition of tech industry workers, labor organizers, community organizers, and friends cultivating solidarity among all workers in tech, with local chapters throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Many thanks to volunteers from the Civic Spark Collective for helping to facilitate breakout room discussions during the final 30 minutes of our mass call.
