Massachusetts Workers Without Job Protected Paid Sick Time

Are you an essential worker in Massachusetts who has continued to work throughout the COVID-19 public health pandemic and the closure of parts of the Massachusetts economy?

OR do you have friends, family, or members of your organization who meet the above description?

At Raise Up Massachusetts, we're collecting individual stories and real numbers on workers who have been forced to make the unbelievable choice between going to work sick and meeting their basic economic needs. We know there are working people across our commonwealth right now who have used up all their job provided sick days and are using  vacation days, paid time off or being forced into work without access to job protected paid sick time ensured by our state or federal government.

If you meet the above description, please add your name to our tracker and if you're comfortable please share your story and we'll amplify it directly with legislators and on social media (with your permission, we'll reach out to you at the provided contact information).

OR if you have a friend, loved one, or organizational member who meets the above description and has given you permission to submit their name/story please put your contact information at the top and submit their name and/or story at the bottom of our form.

These left out workers need the Massachusetts legislature to act! An Act Relative to Emergency Paid Sick Time (H.4700 / S.2701) would provide ten additional work-days (80 hours) of job-protected paid sick time for immediate use during the COVID-19 outbreak. Especially as social distancing restrictions are phased out in our Commonwealth, this legislation is ESSENTIAL to keeping working people and the public safe and healthy.
