Tell Congress NY-10 Values Palestinian Lives and Opposes Genocide: Pledge to Write In Hind Rajab

WRITE HER NAME: HIND RAJAB for CONGRESS in NY-10 – Take the Pledge!
Show that NY-10 Values Palestinian Lives and Opposes Genocide:
Pledge to Write In Hind Rajab
For the upcoming General Election, NY-10 Neighbors urges all concerned voters to protest at the polls by writing in “Hind Rajab” instead of casting a vote for our current Democratic Congressman, Dan Goldman.
Congressman Dan Goldman's support for Israel’s attacks on civilians contradicts the values of most NY-10 constituents. His complicity in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians renders him morally unfit to represent us. Many are outraged by his push to provide Israel with over $40 billion in taxpayer funds, despite evidence of genocide. With Palestinian civilian casualties estimated at 119,000 to 186,000, Goldman’s continued support for Israel's military campaign is horrifying. When politicians like Goldman back bills funding a foreign government committing war crimes, they are complicit.

Who Is Hind Rajab?
Hind Rajab is just one of over 16,500 children in Gaza directly killed by the Israeli military. On January 29th, 2024, a car transporting five year old Hind Rajab and five family members in Gaza City was attacked by an Israeli tank, which fired 355 bullets into the car from close range. Hind survived the initial attack, but was wounded. Her terrified call to the Palestinian Red Crescent begging to be rescued has been heard around the world. When two Palestinian paramedics arrived in an ambulance to rescue Hind, they were also killed by the Israeli military. Hind’s body was found in the car alongside her relatives two weeks later.
Hind Rajab’s tragic death has become a symbol of the innocent lives lost in Gaza. In solidarity, student activists at Columbia University renamed Hamilton Hall to "Hind’s Hall" and the American rapper Macklemore released two protest songs bearing Hind's name, amplifying her story.
Hear Congresswomen Talib speak on Hind’s story, read more of the heartbreaking ordeal here, or watch Wissam, Hind’s mother, speak about the loss of her daughter and her hope that Hind’s memory can affect change.

What is the goal of the write in campaign?
This past June, 15% of registered Democrats in New York submitted blank ballots in the presidential primary to protest the Biden administration’s support for genocide, and a third of District 10 voters voted against Dan Goldman’s last minute primary challengers (including 25% for the pro-ceasefire candidate Evan Hutchinson). We urge you to once again bring your protest to the ballet box and write in “Hind Rajab” on November 5th or during early voting.
Dan Goldman won 84% of the vote in 2022 and will inevitably win re-election; however, a strong turn out for this campaign (in conjunction with a parallel effort by our neighbors in NY-09) sends a clear message that New Yorkers stand against genocide and would support more progressive candidates in the 2026 primary cycle.
How do I write-in Hind Rajab?
On your ballot, locate the row labeled “Representative in Congress.” You should see Dan Goldman’s name on the Democratic line, and Alexander Dodenhoff in the Republican and Paul Driscoe Conservative line. Do not fill any of the bubbles next to their names. Instead, locate the write-in line at the bottom of the row, fill in that bubble, and then write in “Hind Rajab.”
Will my vote be counted?
YES. Any name written in the write-in section will be counted (even if they are not eligible to be elected). The Board of Elections will tally and report the votes for Hind Rajab alongside all the other write-ins. After the election, NY-Neighbors will share the total number of NY-10 constituents who wrote in Hind Rajab on their ballot.
