7 Directions of Service is gearing up to host the 2nd annual Southeastern Indigenous Environmental Conference: Rising as a Wave Friday April 10 to Sunday April 12 in Saxapahaw, NC. This immersive weekend, called Rising as a Wave, will weave panel discussions, creative practice, ceremony and intergenerational dialogue. Visit the event page here.

Our 2026 themes include: Youth Leaders Circle, Emboldening Conservation through Rights of Nature, Indigenous Perspectives on AI & Data Centers and Protecting Sacred Places.

We are anticipating large crowds each day of Indigenous leaders and organizers, environmental advocates, nonprofit leaders, policymakers, and allies interested in Indigenous-led environmental justice and community resilience in the Southeastern region.
