You may know my name from my Congressional run last year against entrenched Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner. This year, I’m running to represent you as part of the Wisconsin delegation to the DNC.

In campaigns and in my job, I know how to work hard when the odds are against you. In traveling around the state talking to fellow Democrats, I often get asked what a DNC member does. According to the DNC website,

DNC members serve as an important liaison between the National Party, its constituencies, and state and local Democrats. Members play an important role in recruiting and training other Democratic activists to work on behalf of Democratic candidates and Democratic legislative proposals.

I share your frustration with our recent campaign failures around the state – I know firsthand that we will fail in every race the party ignores. Wisconsin was taken for granted, and ignored. Congressional and legislative races were ignored. We must do better. The voters deserve it, and so do our brave candidates.

Serving as your representative to the DNC means I will take our mutual concerns, our collective experience and our shared progressive values and make sure the national party knows that Wisconsin is ready to lead. We are ready to fight so our children have a brighter future unburdened by student debt. We are ready to fight so everyone can freely exercise their right to vote. We are ready to fight so every candidate, no matter how red the district, knows they are appreciated and supported by our state and national parties. That is my pledge. I am ready to fight for you.
