Thank you for being part of our journey to advance community energy! Whether you’ve attended our events, joined our advocacy efforts, or supported us in other ways, you’ve played a vital role in building a future centered on sustainability, affordability, reliability, and resilience.
As the year comes to a close, we want to celebrate what the California Alliance for Community Energy has accomplished in 2024 and look ahead to an exciting year of growth and advocacy.
This year CACE remained a steadfast advocate for community-controlled, renewable energy solutions. Despite challenges such as regulatory barriers, rising utility rates, and legislative setbacks, CACE remained true to its mission. Key accomplishments included hosting impactful statewide calls on topics like distributed energy resources, microgrids, and energy equity, and advocating against policies undermining rooftop solar and community microgrids. And after a year of soley being a volunteer led organization, leadership transitions strengthened our team, with a new operations coordinator joining in September. Our advocacy for rooftop solar and community microgrids remained a priority. We worked tirelessly with other advocacy groups to push back against policies that undermine these crucial decentralized energy systems.

Looking ahead, we are ramping up efforts to mobilize local clean energy initiatives across California. To sustain and expand these efforts, we need your support to reach our $20K fundraising goal for 2025.
