Minneapolis’ East Phillips neighborhood is building a more just and healthy future on its own terms through a radical community development project.
A 10-year fight led by the East Phillips Neighborhood Institute (EPNI) and the surrounding community stopped the City of Minneapolis from demolishing 230,000 sq ft warehouse in the heart of this historically neglected neighborhood.
EPNI is now stewarding the transformation of this vacant warehouse into a community-owned resiliency hub and indoor urban farm with neighborly care at the core.
A broad coalition of community support got us to this point - and we need continued grassroots support every step of the way ahead.
