As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities, we continue to strategize new ways to help each other. One of Dream Action Oklahoma’s longtime partners, Oklahoma City Public School teachers, have reached out about a collaborative effort to help our immigrant & mixed status families in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City Public Schools have a Latinx population of 54%, with 39% predominantly Spanish speaking homes. Many of these homes will not be receiving any kind of federal aid during this global pandemic and economic crisis. OKCPS has taken care of its dedicated teachers and staff. Now, teachers, staff and the OKCPS community are partnering with Dream Action Oklahoma to help take care of our most vulnerable children through the “Esperanza COVID-19 Relief Fund”. This fund is intended for the relief of immigrant parents and mixed status families whose children are current and future students of Oklahoma City Public Schools.
We know that together we can continue to change the lives of our children and families. We find hope in our Oklahoma community and are asking for your support. Please donate today!
