For generations, Louisiana’s fishermen have worked these waters with pride—harvesting seafood, protecting our coastal lands, and preserving a way of life rooted in respect for the environment. But today, that heritage is under serious threat.

The rapid expansion of LNG (liquefied natural gas) facilities and related industrial projects is destroying the very waters, lands, and air that sustain our fisheries and our families. These developments have brought pollution, habitat loss, and safety risks to communities that have depended on these natural resources for centuries.

F.I.S.H. (Fishermen Involved in Sustaining Our Heritage) is a grassroots organization made up of fishermen, families, and coastal residents united in one mission: to protect Louisiana’s fishing communities and the environment that sustains them.

Our work focuses on:

• Challenging destructive LNG construction and existing facilities that threaten our waters and our livelihoods

• Holding regulatory agencies accountable for failing to protect our quality of life, coastal ecosystems, and fishing heritage

• Defending the rights of fishermen and coastal residents to clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment

• Educating the public and policymakers about the real impacts of unchecked industrial development on Louisiana’s coast
