It's Black mama + caretaker freedom season, y'all! We're passing around the collection plate to reunite families and communities with their loved ones who can't afford bail. Your offering of $50, $25 or even $5 goes a long way to helping us meet our goal.

FreeBlackMamasDMV* has bailed out over 50 Black mamas + caretakers across 12 jurisdictions. This year, we hope to raise $30,000 to support bail outs across the state of Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia and extend these loved ones supportive services, including: housing, food assistance, clothing, access to Life After Release's job club, and a paid fellowship, among other supports.
