According to the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, in 2024, 1 out of 100 unhoused deaths resulted from temperature exposure. And Boulder is no exception- people are freezing to death right here in our own community, while the system continues to prioritize profit and property over human life.

This is a direct consequence of a capitalist system that criminalizes poverty and neglects those most in need. The wealthy stay warm behind their walls, and our comrades on the streets are left to freeze, starve, and suffer. But we know that solidarity is the answer.
