This summer, Briarpatch will dedicate an issue to a single topic of concern to working people. We’re putting together a special Housing Justice issue, bringing together a variety of voices – activists, journalists, organizers – from across the country.
This special issue is a massive undertaking for Briarpatch, involving more work to outreach, research, edit, fact-check, and proofread, and because the topic is linked to economic fairness in a system tilted against working people, we want to ensure our people are paid fairly for their work.
We’re reaching out to ask for your help. We need to raise $5,000 to help us cover the costs for this special issue. With your support, we can include more extensive and research-based investigative pieces for our upcoming issue and ensure they meet our standards for high-quality grassroots journalism. We can also commission more artists and photographers to give the issue a more lasting impact.
Briarpatch has always been able to do what it does thanks to the generosity and support of our readers, people who believe in the project as much as we do. We hope you’ll extend some of that generosity to us today.
Thank you for your valuable support.
