JRRG is a grass roots organization in Joliet, IL, focused on fighting for sustainability, health, safety, and affordability for local residents and neighbors in our community. We are currently leading a major lawsuit and campaign against the 795-Acre Joliet Technology Center's Developers and the City of Joliet. If built, this data center will be projected to hold a capacity 1.8 GW worth of power, the equivalent of over 2 million chicagoland households worth of energy and hundreds of thousands of gallons of regional freshwater. This data center will be one of the largest projects of its type in Illinois, and we are committed to holding it's developers and our local government accountable.
