At Mutual Aid Disaster Relief, we are an all-volunteer network, and almost all of our funds are used on direct community assistance, standing in solidarity with communities impacted by disasters in a way that affirms their inherent dignity and respects their self-determination. We would love to build our capacity to offer even more to disaster survivors: mobile solar power so disaster survivors can better stay connected to loved ones and have their basic electricity needs met, trucks, box trucks, and trailers to more easily distribute supplies to those most impacted, a mobile medical unit to meet the medical needs of disaster survivors, and more. First up is a solar powered mobile power unit, with 8 solar panels, and 2 3.8 kWh lithium batteries. A generous donor has offered $15,000 towards it. Which means we need at most $10,000 to cover the remaining cost. Please consider investing in this fund to grow Mutual Aid Disaster Relief's infrastructure so, together, we can continue to build power while the lights are out from the ground up, and offer even more to communities struggling for a just recovery.
