On Sunday, September 18th, 2022, Portland Anarchist Black Cross (PDX ABC) will host a 5K run and BBQ on the Willamette River to benefit political prisoners. This event is planned in solidarity with runs that will take place in cities and prison yards across the country at the same time.

FABULOUS PRIZES will be awarded to individual finishers and teams of four.

We'll meet up on the east side of Willamette River, where Madison St meets the Eastbank Esplanade by the Hawthorne Bridge

11:00 AM: Check in

11:30 AM: Group warmup

12:00 AM: 5K begins

1pm-3:00 PM: BBQ

$10 REGISTRATION FOR 5K (INCLUDES BBQ)

$20 DONATION FOR BBQ ONLY

Proceeds will go to the Anarchist Black Cross Federation (ABCF) Warchest.

Since 1994, the Warchest has sent monthly checks to political prisoners who have been receiving insufficient, little, or no financial support during their imprisonment. Its purpose is to collect funds from groups and individual supporters and send that money directly to commissary accounts of vetted Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War (PP/POW) monthly.

We need participants who can run/walk/bike/skate/roll the 5K and are able to collect financial pledges to offer as donations to the run.
