Your contribution supports Louisville SURJ’s local racial justice work.
Our collective liberation depends on a strong and sustainable landscape of Black-led, Brown-led, and other people of color-led organizing efforts. LSURJ is committed to accountability partnerships with local organizing groups led by people of color. We follow a solidarity fundraising model. Over half of all funds raised throughout the year are moved to support the following groups: Black Lives Matter Louisville, Louisville Community Bail Fund, Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, The Bail Project Louisville, La Casita, Mijente, and Independence Seekers.
Funds held by LSURJ are to support organizing white people in antiracist work. All members of LSURJ are unpaid volunteers. LSURJ commits to sharing annual financial information with the community to uphold our values of transparency and accountability as we move through this work together.
Donations also:
- Help us host affordable community workshops, meetings, trainings, and direct action relating to racial justice.
- Support disabled, poor and low income organizers in our network.
- Provide child care for our meetings and events so care givers can attend.
- Support victims and survivors of state violence and their families.
All of which strengthens our critical work for in the face of the often deadly oppression of people of color.
Thank you for your support in this movement.
