Hello Community Energy Supporter,
Thank you for being part of the movement to advance community-controlled energy in California. Whether you’ve joined a statewide call, spoken up on energy issues, or supported CACE in other ways, you are part of a growing community working toward a more affordable, equitable, and resilient energy system.
Why your support matters right now
As we continue on in 2026, we’re reflecting on what CACE carried forward in 2025, and inviting you to help us build on that momentum in the year ahead.
Throughout 2025, the California Alliance for Community Energy showed up as a connector and convener for energy justice across the state. At a time of rising utility rates and increasing pressure on communities, CACE focused on:
-
Bringing people together through regular statewide calls
-
Sharing clear, accessible analysis on complex energy policy issues
-
Creating space for learning, collaboration, and collective action
Our statewide calls brought advocates, organizers, and technical experts together to explore topics like energy affordability, cost-of-capital decisions, distributed energy resources, transmission planning, and utility accountability, helping members stay informed in a rapidly changing policy landscape.
In 2025, CACE also joined the Affordable Energy Campaign, working alongside partners across California to elevate energy affordability as a central justice issue and protect ratepayers statewide.
Behind the scenes, 2025 was also a year of rebuilding and preparation. We reconnected with members through interviews and outreach, strengthened internal systems and communications, and laid the groundwork for launching issue-based task forces in 2026—creating clearer pathways for members to collaborate and take action.
Our Goal
To continue this work, CACE is raising $30,000 at the top of the year to support advocacy, organizing, and coordination efforts in 2026.
Your contribution helps CACE:
-
Advocate for more equitable policies at the California Public Utilities Commission
-
Strengthen and connect our statewide community of energy advocates
-
Support Community Choice and local energy solutions through strategic partnership, support and amplification of aligned messages.
Monthly, recurring donations are especially helpful, providing steady support that allows us to respond quickly as energy policy decisions unfold throughout the year.
