Rising Tide Canberra is part of the national Rising Tide movement. We are working urgently to protect our climate against fossil fuel emissions. Once a year we blockade Newcastle, the World's largest coal port to curb Australia's exports. At other times we pressure state and Federal parliaments to change the laws that allow coal mining and gas extraction. Some of our members break the laws in order to change them, others provide logistical support, make and listen to music, or provide moral or financial support. We'd love you to join us.
