AMPR

The “Asociación de Maestros de Puerto Rico” is recognized as the principal professional and union organization of the Puerto Rican teaching profession, due to the relevance of its policies and services, the breadth of its membership base, its model of professional and union formation, and activism of its members. It is the exclusive union representative of the Appropriate Unit of Teachers and Teaching Staff working in the Puerto Rico Department of Education. The Association was founded in 1911 and since then, has been dedicated to defend the teaching and public education.
