Ankeny Area Democrats is a grassroots political action committee run by volunteers focused on organizing in the community. In recent years, AAD has become a force to be reckoned with, scoring major wins even as statewide democrats struggled. In 2022, AAD played a major role in flipping House District 41 and securing House District 42 by electing Heather Matson and Molly Buck. We are a motivated and organized group in the Ankeny area that are quickly balancing the registration in the city of Ankeny and the surrounding area even in the face of voter suppression efforts at the Capitol.
