In Chicago, an advocacy organization called "Care NOT COVID Chicago" was formed to support universal masking in healthcare settings. With the help of the community, the organization is working to keep healthcare safer and push local government leaders to mandate mask use in all healthcare facilities. This will ultimately slow or stop the spread of infectious diseases including COVID-19 in the city of Chicago and the surrounding areas.
