Our group was born during the 2024 general election when Labour, despite years of dedicated campaigning, suddenly removed a popular local candidate and parachuted in someone with no connection to our area. It sent a clear message: our community isn’t fit to choose the politicians that represent them.

In the general election, our independent grassroots campaign won over a quarter of the vote in just four weeks. It showed that something better is possible.
