Founded as the Biden Digital Coalition (BDC) by a team of grassroots supporters of Joe Biden for President with a competency and passion for social media. After a successful national effort to change how social media is deployed for a campaign, the BDC was renamed the Democracy Digital Coalition (DDC).

Members of the DDC are expected to have a strong footprint in one or more digital social ecosystems. Volunteers should have strong competency in current social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, Discord, Twitch, Pinterest, etc.

This completely scalable effort provides volunteers, campaigns and progressive organizations with the infrastructure and values needed to build capacity and win. From home town races to the White House - the DDC welcomes you to the tent.

Values:

Growth: Learn about the broad diversity of democratic candidate and progressive causes. Every cause and candidate is different, and the diversity brings strength to the Democratic party.

Action: Stay engaged and actively connect through digital platforms in intentional and relevant ways. We take nothing for granted. We need to work tirelessly to build capacity to win elections up and down the ballot.

Unification: Bringing people into the tent will take work and humility.

In order to achieve these values, members of the DDC are expected to act with resolve and ethics. We are not a troll army, we are humans with authentic voices and who use these them to build a stronger democracy.
