Formed in 1992 as the Asian Pacific Democratic Club, we are the longest serving Asian-Pacific Islander(API) democratic club West of the Mississippi. The club was renamed the Edwin M. Lee Asian Pacific Democratic Club on January 23rd, 2018, to recognize San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee’s legacy of service to the City and County of San Francisco and the API community. We are dedicated to engaging Asian Pacific Islander (API) Americans to join the Democratic Party, support strong API elected leaders, and empower API young people in the political process. We carry on Mayor Lee’s spirit of leading with compassion, decency, and kindness. Edwin M. Lee Asian Pacific Democratic Club is a chartered democratic club of the San Francisco Democratic Party.
