SF Board of Education Commissioner Alison Collins has not delivered an unqualified apology for her racist tweets which have offended and harmed the Asian/Pacific Islander community.

API Commissioners Jenny Lam and Faauuga Moliga have called for Commissioner Collins to resign. Commissioner Collins has not done so. On Thursday, March 25, Cmmrs. Lam and Moliga will introduce a resolution to remove Cmmr. Collins from her Vice President position and to remove Cmmr. Collins from her committee assignments.

We join Cmmrs. Lam and Moliga to call for Collins to be censured for her actions, and for her to resign. It is the best decision to allow the Board of Education to move forward and to help repair the harm that Cmmr. Collins has inflicted on the API community.
