Education for Liberation
Formed in 2024, the Education for Liberation Collective is a small group of multiracial educators and activists who got to know each other through the solidarity movement for Palestinian liberation.
We believe that accessible, community-based education is key to moving forward the many struggles for liberation on the unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin Anishinaabeg land upon which we live.
The collective hopes to:
- offer education that provides analysis from a radical perspective in order to facilitate the liberation of all peoples.
- contribute to peoples’ understanding of how systems of power create and maintain oppression and how people can build and use power to oppose and dismantle these systems and to create life-affirming ways of being.
