Over 1,000 congregations across nation are members of Faith in Action affiliates.

Our Mission:

To honor God by dismantling systemic racism to create pathways of opportunity for all Alabamians.

Through leadership development, Faith in Action Alabama serves as a platform for people of faith to develop/further strengthen their capacity to leverage their lived wisdom/experience and ability to design public policies and narratives in Alabama that honor the Divine vision of abundance, not the sinful way of systemic racism. To realize this vision Faith in Action Alabama is committed to building community across race and faith lines. Community building occurs through intentional conversations, regular local community organizing trainings/semi-annual national trainings, clergy caucuses, and through its grassroots volunteers strategizing and leading local and state campaigns to dismantle systemic racism.

In eighteen months, we have grown from a collection of six individuals to sixty congregations across race and faith lines representing over twenty five thousand people.
