Friends of Seattle's Urban Forests is working to strengthen protections for Seattle's trees and urban forest. It's priority is to pass a stronger city urban forestry ordinance that requires permits to remove trees, posting 2 week notice before trees can be removed and replacement either on or off site of equivalent canopy due to trees lost.
